Top 4 T-Day Traditions

This year was an especially good, though *different* Thanksgiving.  Here are some things I look forward to the years I am at my parents’ for Thanksgiving, and that I thoroughly enjoyed this year:

1. Truffle-studded cheese (eaten as an appetizer)

2. Braised tofu with mushroom gravy (prepared by the same friend who always brings the truffle cheese)

3. My dad’s reading of poetry at the table.  This year: The Wild Iris, Gravy, Keeping Things Whole, and a touching poem written by a family friend who couldn’t attend this year.

4. Our annual post-dinner pre-dessert dance party, starting with the traditional Daddy Lumba, and ending with the Bee Gees.
